2024 RESTORATION POLICY & PRICELIST
Updated as of 7/24/2024
Please be sure to read all information pertaining to my repairs and restoration services.
I have been doing restorations and repairs on many different statuary for several decades now. In most cases, everything can be restored. Below is a quick price guide for owners who have Breyer, Peter Stone, chinas, or Limited Edition resins and are a part of the Model Horse Industry. These are just quick guides as you are looking to have you statuary repaired or restored to original factory finish. Please note that these are estimates. If the issue is larger than originally discussed, or there are issues not disclosed, owner will be contacted and price quote adjusted.
Thank you.
~Jennifer

FACTORY FINISHES-ALL SIZES
EAR RUBS on all sizes of OF or resin:
$5 for the pair.
$6.50-20 PER SCRATCH
(Please note that I cannot accept glossy factory finish pieces at this time as the glossy finish cannot be replicated correctly without further damaging the piece.)
Scratch elimination to bring piece back to "factory finish" status: $6.50-20 per scratch depending upon severity of scratch. Deep cuts needing fill are charged accordingly. All scratch prices ultimately determined when your horse arrives in my studio as photos cannot show me how deep a scratch may run. Deep scratches need to be filled, sanded, re-sanded and sometimes refilled, so please understand that anything huge or deep will be charged according to the amount of work involved.
SPA DAY-MULTI SCRATCHES REMOVED
Some factory finishes have a multitude of minor scratches and spa day pricing fits their needs better than charging scratches individually. This is normally used for a factory finish that has a multitude of surface scratches. Many deep cuts or scratches or broken pieces are not included in this service.
SM Spa day: $40
CLASSIC/VENTI SPA DAY: $50
TRADITIONAL SPA DAY: $60

CERAMIC BREAKS:
Legs and ears: $60 PER BREAK
Price for leg and ear breaks listed is for all sizes.
A break on a china is intricate, very time consuming and it's as delicate on a 1:32 piece as it is on a 1:9 piece so these breaks are charged accordingly. Pieces will be repaired using a 2 part epoxy then secured using ceramic epoxy.
Tails: $65-75
A tail break on a ceramic may or may not require wires for support. Tail breaks will be evaluated and charged accordingly. Fees will be extra if wire supports are needed.
Bases: $75+
Charged according to surface damage.
Dings or missing ceramic:
Dings or missing pieces of ceramic are charged according to how much ceramic epoxy will be needed to restore area. Prices range from $15 to 35 per area to restore.
Missing areas of ceramic:
Areas that need to be fully reconstructed will be charged at $100 on up depending upon the severity of the area. I can recreate total areas that are missing by taking a mold of existing areas or similar ceramic molds. This service is charged accordingly.
Return shipping Memory Foam charge: $10.00 (or more) per horse
Many ceramic horses arrive to me wrapped in bubble wrap, which is fine before they are restored, however, once the ceramic piece has been restored it will need exceptional coverage and support for the trip back home. If you have not supplied the proper foams to ensure your ceramic will reach its destination safely I am happy to provide the proper materials to ensure a safe shipment for fee. No exceptions. If your horse has to travel via USPS or other carrier it must be properly encased in foam. As of late those not traveling through the USPS without proper foam (and just bubble wrap) have been rebreaking. To avoid this all ceramic horses must be encased in foam. No additional charge if you supply the foam. Thank you for understanding.
GENERAL QUESTIONS:
YOU DON'T KNOW ME BUT MY HORSE BROKE AND I NEED AN ESTIMATE FROM A REPAIR ARTIST ASAP TO FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM. CAN YOU SEND ME AN ESTIMATE?
While I am generally a happy person and like to help people, I get many, many emails and private messages in my inbox and on social media asking for estimates on breaks for insurances purposes. While I understand your need to have a professional's input for an official claim, I just don't have the time to be at the ready estimating and answering all insurance issues and claims for people whom I don't know and am not in a direct client relationship with. My general price-list is open to the public and free for you to figure out your claim issues. I thank you for your understanding on this issue.
I HAVE A BROKEN HORSE. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO FIX IT? (AND SIMILAR COLD CALLS/EMAILS)
If you send a "cold call" email to my studio while I am not openly soliciting for restorations I may not answer your email. Please don't take a non response as rude, I'm just always working in my studio either on current restorations, commissions and/or creative work outside the MH Industry that I just don't have time to answer every cold call-open solicitation that comes through my inbox. If you truly want to have your piece restored I can't stress enough that subscribing to my news letter is the very best solution to your restoration problems. I open my books 2-3 times a year and in most cases everyone needing restoration is given a spot during those times. The times are scheduled around other events that happen in my professional world. Thank you for understanding.
WHEN DO I PAY YOU? WHEN I SECURE THE SPOT?
Payment will be expected after services have been rendered and a photo of the finished work emailed or PMed to you though Facebook. You will then have 7 days to pay in full which must include return shipping with insurance on your piece/s. Failure to pay by the 7th day will result in extra fees per week on your bill. Please see general note below for more information.
I HAVE MORE THAN ONE PIECE THAT NEEDS FIXING. CAN I SEND A BOX OF REPAIRS?
NO. Please only send the pieces that we discussed when you were approved during the open call.
HOW DO I QUICKLY FIGURE OUT HOW MUCH IT WILL COST TO HAVE MY PIECE RESTORED?
You can get a quick estimate by just looking at all the scratches and issues your horse has and tallying them up. Its a quick and easy way to determine how much the restoration may cost. So, let's say your piece has 5 scratches. Figure that each scratch (if simple and isn't huge or deep) will cost approx $6.50 per scratch to eliminate. If the scratch is large or deep prices per scratch increase per scratch.
SHOULD I SEND YOU PHOTOS OF EVERY SCRATCH AND ISSUE?
I'm happy to view images of owner's pieces and give an ESTIMATED PRICE QUOTE via email. I say "ESTIMATED" as many owners in the past have neglected to tell me about other issues which needed to be attended to. If there are issues not disclosed at the time of email and they are present when the piece/s arrive in my studio owners WILL be alerted to other issues not properly disclosed in the initial price quote request. Additional issues will be added to final balance. Owner will be alerted to the increase before repairs happen. If owner disagrees with having these additional issues corrected those areas will not be touched.
WHERE DO I SEND THE PHOTOS TO?:
Please direct all photos to my email at: jenndanza@gmail.com
I'VE SECURED A SPOT WITH YOU AND SENT YOU AN EMAIL AND PHOTOS A FEW HOURS AGO. DID YOU GET MY EMAIL? WHY AREN'T YOU ANSWERING?
I can't stress enough that I'm not online 24-7 and if your email comes during a time where I am not online it will take me a while to get to your email. I try and answer emails by Wed or Friday of any given week.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU TO REPAIR MY PIECES?
Current time frames for restoration finish are running approx. 1 month long. Some restorations, however, require a delicate hand and more time.
ONCE YOUR STATUARY HAS BEEN RESTORED:
Once your piece has been repaired and restored payment IN FULL, INCLUDING RETURN SHIPPING WITH INSURANCE back to you will be expected within 7 (SEVEN) days from completion. If payment in full has not been rendered an additional $5 PER WEEK will be charged to your account every week your item/s stay on my repair shelves waiting for you to render payment. Many people are choosing not to pay after their pieces are restored and hence the implementation of this rule.
LASTLY:
My ultimate goal is to make sure the pickiest judge can't tell your piece has been restored.
Please remember that you are not only paying for services rendered you are also paying for years of experience and my knowledge of materials, paint and color. Thank you for understanding.
For statuary that is not model horse related, please send inquiry. Thank you.

"I have had several horses in repairs by Jennifer. They have been OF plastic, custom china, resin and customs of various stripes, including BHR pieces. They have all been wonderfully restored-I cannot find breaks I know are there. She is also fairly priced and finishes stuff in a timely manner. She is my go to restoration artist." ~Jackie, NJ
"I had a portrait resin of my daughters mare go crashing to the concrete floor at a show, you can imagine the many pieces as well as a missing ear. Jennifer brought her back to life and you'd never know she was ever broken! Highly recommended." ~ Jini, NY
